Mrs. Weston was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Collinsville, Okla., a daughter of the late Russell and Lena (Geronemo) Evans. She grew up in Collinsville, attended local schools and graduated from Collinsville High School in 1939. Following graduation, she attended Tulsa Business School.
She began to work for Clark Brothers in Tulsa, Okla., where she met her husband.
She was married to John Weston Aug. 1, 1948, in Collinsville, Okla. He died Dec.14, 2012.
They made their home in Joliet, Ill.
Once in Joliet, she worked for the public schools for 30 years culminating as executive secretary to the superintendent in charge of personnel. She retired in 1984.
She was a member and deacon of Willow Avenue/Westminister Presbyterian Church in Joliet, Ill., for more than 40 years.
In 2001 she moved to Stevens Point to be closer to family and attended Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a social, cultural and service organization; was past president of the PTA in Joliet, Ill.; and volunteered for the Encore Resale Shop at Silver Cross Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret (James) Corcoran, Eau Claire, and Carol (Bill Hettler) Weston, Stevens Point; one son, Stephen, Somers, Mont.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
