Sue C. Maass, 73, Dancy, a longtime resident and proprietor of B & S Bar in Dancy, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau after an extended illness.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the bar she owned.

Mrs. Maass was born Jan. 16, 1941, in Marquette, Mich., a daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Desautelle.
She was married to Robert “Bob” H. Maass in 1960. He died in 1992.
The couple moved to Waukegan, Illinois. In 1969 they followed their dreams to work for themselves and to escape the city and moved to Dancy. There they owned and operated the B & S Bar. She and her husband operated the establishment until his death and then she continued running the business until 2013 when health issues forced her to close the bar.
Survivors include longtime boyfriend, Clifford Buelow, Dancy; two sons, James and Robert “Bob” (Mary), Stevens Point; one daughter, Sandra (Rick) Buelow, Junction City; one brother, Terrance “Terry” Desautelle, Marquette, Mich.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson.
