A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, with Msgr. Jeffrey Burrill officiating.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the church until the Mass.

Mr. Smrz was born March 20, 1933, in Junction City, a son of the late Ernest and Laura (Pendlewski) Smrz. He was raised on the family farm. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1952.
He entered the U.S. Army Oct. 1, 1953, in Milwaukee. He served with the 93rd Armed Infantry. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation of Germany Medal, the Marksmanship Carbine Sharpshooters Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged Sept. 17, 1955, at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
He was married to Jeanette Shopinski Oct. 5, 1957, at St. Stephen Church in Stevens Point.
They eventually settled in Plover.
He was employed by the Stevens Point School District and later Consolidated Papers in Stevens Point for 29 years, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, Plover; two sons, Tom and Scott (Lisa), both of Plover; two sisters, Audrey (Wesley) Spreda, Stevens Point, and Carol Swobe, Oshkosh; one brother, Jim (Maryann), Junction City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Sally Berndt, Betty Bahr, Marjorie Singer and Alice Liebe.
