A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in the town of Buena Vista, with the Rev. Jim Trempe officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.
Visitation will be at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a general rosary at 7:30 p.m. and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass.
A memorial has been established in his name.
Mr. Heidger was born March 12, 1935, in Hancock, a son of the late August and Luella (Stratton) Heidger.
He was married to Patricia Bigsby April 29, 1961, in North Fond du Lac.
He worked for many years as a custodian in the Fond du Lac school district.
He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Almond; two daughters, Kim (Ron) Kollman, Humbird, and Susan Heidger, Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Roy, Wautoma, and Gary (Emily), Moundsview, Minn.; five brothers, August (Bonnie), Hortonville, Robert (Sharon), Waupaca, and Stanley, George and Joseph, all of Almond; one sister, Mary (Malcolm) Hintz, Almond; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Belva, Josephine and an infant; and two infant brothers.
