Now we get ready for New Year’s Eve.
Christmas, 2013, is but a recent memory and thrifty shoppers have already made their way to the stores to save on all sorts of Christmas items – which are half-off and maybe even more. I’d probably have joined them to save on Christmas cards for use next year, but people don’t seem to be sending as many cards as they once did.
It’s possible that by next Christmas, nobody will be sending cards through the U.S. mail and instead conveying Christmas and New Year’s greeting via email, Twitter and Facebook. If that comes to pass, I’d be left with several boxes of marked-down Christmas cards that have no practical value. If cards are still in vogue though, I’ll break down and buy a few next December.
