A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Rothschild. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Halder at a later date.
Visitation will be at the John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Stankowski was born March 28, 1931, in Mosinee, a daughter of the late Irene (Oprzyndek) and Bertram F. Marsh. She was later adopted by Wallace H. Kort. She graduated from Wausau High School.
She was married to Dominic J. Stankowski in 1949 at St. Mary Church in Wausau.
After high school, she pursued a career as secretary to the principal of D.C. Everest High School. Her career included 40 years of service before her retirement in 1990.
In retirement she volunteered to accompany patients from Colonial Manor to their medical appointments.
She and her husband also traveled with her sister and wintered in Fort Myers, Fla.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Jessica (Robert) O’Donnell, McFarland; one son, Michael (Charlotte), Greenville; one sister, Millicent Baltus, Appleton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and in-laws Ted Johnson, Edwin (Lucille) Stankowski, Marie Stankowski, Ernest (Mary) Stankowski, Evelyn Nowak and Virginia (Cliff) Falkowski, Stevens Point.
