A gathering for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Linwood Chapel in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa. Burial will be in the cemetery.

Mrs. Koutre was born July 17, 1911, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of the late Phillip H. and Bertha M. (Gray) Stemper.
She was married to James “King” Koutre June 9, 1929, in Dubuque, Iowa. He died in 1999.
She worked for many years at Diamond’s Cafeteria & Grill in Dubuque, and eventually became a co-owner of the business with her husband.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jane Koutre, Des Moines, Iowa; one son, John (Donna), Plover; four granddaughters, Anne (Brian) McCoy, Pullman, Wash., and Becky (Brian) Cook, Julie (Matt) Raschka and Michelle (Shane) O’Connell, all of Plover; and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jake McCoy, Josh and Danny Cook, Colton and Madelynne Raschka and Caden and Ethan O’Connell.
