A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Rolando Onden officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the service.

Mr. Havitz was born May 3, 1932, in Dancy, a son of the late Edward and Alma (Beulow) Havitz. He attended Victory Grade School in his younger years and then went to P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point for three years before finishing his senior year in Rudolph so that he could play basketball.
He spent four years in the Navy, from 1952 until 1956 and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War.
He was married to Elaine Armbruster May 17, 1958, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was a pipefitter at Local 434 Union.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sharon (Kerry) Blackmun, Atwater, Calif., Patti (Geno) Nystrom and Tina Havitz, both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Beth (Kenneth) Smazal, Hillsboro Mo.; three brothers, Edward, Lake Leelanau, Elliot (friend Katie), Wisconsin Rapids, and Lloyd, Amherst; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Rosemarie Seavers.
