Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring.

Mr. Jacobson was born in Stevens Point. He attended McKinley School and was a 1943 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
He was married to Lenora Bras 67 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a Legion of Merit recipient.
In addition to his military career, he farmed briefly in the town of Dewey in Portage County before embarking on numerous business ventures in Montana and Virginia.
He was involved in volunteer service for many years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mae (Blake) Novak; one sister, Shirley (John) Boudry; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Major John Jacobson (U.S. Army Ret.) and Air Force Sgt. Donald William Jacobson II; two brothers, Frank and Charles; and one sister, Val Stieber.
