A celebration of life will be held at his house, 3684 Maple Road, Rosholt, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

Mr. Simonis was born March 11, 1925, in Rosholt, a son of the late Aleas and Bertha (Stanislawski) Simonis.
He was married to Lorraine Kruzicki May 26, 1951. She died in 2011.
He was an accomplished and well-known drummer, furniture designer and carpenter. He also had a large variety of interests and hobbies, including: antiques, ginseng and traveling with family.
Survivors include three sons, Barry (Shirley), Rosholt, Bill Jr. (Lynette), Stevens Point, and Gus (Mary), Scandinavia; four daughters, Cynthia Yenter, Waupaca, Cheryle Stoneman, Menasha, Sharon (Steve Jackson) Bradley, Sun City, Ariz., and Naomi (Mike) Dallman, Waunakee; one brother, Dennis, Rosholt; one sister; Melane Zietlow, Rosholt; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
