Donald A. Kruzicki, 76, Custer, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in Apache Junction, Ariz.
A memorial will be held in Arizona Saturday, Nov. 2, at Denali Park
A memorial will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
Superstition Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Apache Junction, Ariz., assisted with arrangements.
Mr. Kruzicki was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Rosholt, a son of the late August and Martha (Berna) Kruzicki. He attended St. Aldabert Grade School, RosholtHigh School and Mid-StateVocational School.
He was married to Beatrice Bigalke Oct. 4, 1958, at SacredHeartChurch in Polonia. They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
He worked in Milwaukee four years at Kornell paper mill, then moved to Polonia and worked at Whiting-Plover Paper Mill for 21 years and Consolidated Papers for 19 years.
He retired in December 1998.
In 2005 he and his wife began wintering in Arizona and summering in Wisconsin.
He was president and a member of the Rosholt Blizzard Busters snowmobile club for more than 30 years, an officer for the Portage County Snowmobile Club Alliance and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He taught small engine classes at RosholtHigh School and repaired small engines in Polonia. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Patty (Bob) Dunn and Laurie Sommers, both of Hancock, and Deb (Mike) Bembeneck, Polonia; three sons, Gary (Lynn), Plover, Kirk, Wisconsin Rapids, and Joe, Stevens Point; one sister, Veronica (Lawrence) Basinski, Plover; three brothers, Roger (Judy), John (Nancy) and Tony (Barb), all of Rosholt; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Frank; and one sister, Lorraine Simonis.
