A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5. A general rosary will be prayed at the church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Mr. Gilmeister was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Rosholt, a son of the late John and Alexandra (Kiermczenko) Gilmeister. He attended school in Rosholt.
He moved to Milwaukee and worked there until moving back to Rosholt in 1953.
He opened Johnny’s Bar in Rosholt Jan. 1, 1954, and owned and operated the tavern until his retirement March 31, 1983.
He was married to Violet Oksuita July 3, 1957, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Men’s Rosary Society and the Sacred Heart League of St. Adalbert.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kevin (Bonnie), Tempe, Ariz., Kerry (Tracy), Oakdale, Minn., and Kenneth (Renee), Menasha; three sisters, Regina Trzebiatowski, Agnes Filtz and Ann Trezbiatowski; six grandchildren, Austin (Chad Mullins), Sadie, Ryan, Lauren, Allison and Alex; and one great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley and Max and two others in infancy; and three sisters, Mary Pezewski, Katherine Stanislawski and Angeline Lorbiecki.
