A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Grace Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Kent Raddatz officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, and again from 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, until the services.
Donations may be made to the Hope Lodge, which is funded through the American Cancer Society, where he and his wife stayed during his treatment for his cancer.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids assisted the family.
Mr. Leece was born March 14, 1961, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of Wally and Lois (Slattery) Leece. He attended Washington School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1982.
He was married to Terri Bodway April 9, 1994.
He worked for Schierl Tire and Greeneway Campers and was presently employed by McCain Foods in the town of Plover.
He was an acoustic guitar player and was a member of Grace Out Loud, a praise band at Grace Lutheran Church where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Wally and Lois Leece, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Patti (Jim) Lloyd, Wisconsin Rapids, and Jackie (Andy) Buchanan, Bartlett, Tenn.; one brother, Dan, Wisconsin Rapids; and his maternal grandmother, Eleanor Slattery, Wisconsin Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Slattery and Leo and Carol Leece.
