A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the First United Methodist Church in Mineral Point, with Pastor Rebecca Henke officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point at a later date.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, until the service.

Mrs. U’Ren was born Sept. 20, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Erna (Strick) Powell. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1949.
She was married to Merle U’Ren June 3, 1951, at the First United Methodist Church in Mineral Point.
She worked at the Mineral Point Bakery and Burgess Batteries while he was stationed in Korea during the Korean War.
In February 1960 they bought the old Humbert farm in Waldwick and together they farmed for 40 years until they retired to Mineral Point in September 1988.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years; two daughters, Judy (Leon) Wroblewski, Stevens Point, and Jerilyn (Scott) Owens, Mineral Point; one brother, Don (Pat) Powell; four sisters, Genevieve Peplinski, Frances Powell, Margaret (Bill) Heins and Marian Hunter; and four grandchildren, Benjamin (Hanna) Wroblewski, Eau Claire, Danielle (Don) Wroblewski, Stevens Point, Erica (Remington) Owens, Spring Green, and Shelby (Jake) Owens, Eau Claire.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, William Jr., Harold and Robert Powell; and two sisters, Isabel Hanson and Bernice (Larry) Martin.
