A celebration of life will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post on Hickory Drive in Plover.

Mr. Lund was born Oct. 29, 1931, a son of Henry and Emily (Vesterse) Lund of Black Hammer, Minn.
He served in the U.S. Army for the 26th Infantry, stationed in Germany from 1948 until 1951.
He was married to Lucille Wiese March 28, 1959, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oakfield. She preceded him in death.
They resided in Fond du Lac.
He worked for Wright Tree Service for more than 35 years and retired in 1989.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 10262 in Plover.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews of the Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa area; and special friends Kevin and Peggy (Schultz) Flaherty, Jason and Sherry (Schultz) Szymkowiak, Orville and Donna (Schultz) Kurth, Robert and Julie Hutter, and Leroy and Janet Schultz.
He was also preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
