The investigation began when Duane Domask of Rosholt was hauling manure on his farm and discovered a smoking Chevrolet sedan in a wooded area of the farm and called the Waupaca Police Department.
Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the farm shortly after and began their search for clues. The victim was later identified as Jamie Koch. The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) then focused on her home in the Chestnut Arms Apartments in Plover.
After the investigation in her apartment, the DCI identified Jose Luis Flores Aca as a possible suspect Friday afternoon, shortly after the state attorney general released Koch’s name as the victim in the homicide investigation.
Flores Aca, 32, was booked into the Portage County Jail at 12:33 a.m. Friday and held through the weekend on preliminary charges of first-degree reckless homicide and hiding a corpse.
