Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral and Cremation Services-West Chapel in Eau Claire, with Pastor Graham West officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, until the service. A luncheon will follow the services at the funeral home.

Mr. Kunkel was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Wausau, a son of the late August and Eleanor (Drake) Kunkel.
He was married to Geraldine Kleist Sept. 16, 1950, at St. John Lutheran Church in Mosinee.
He started his retail/wholesale career working in the grocery department, rising to store manager and then supervisor at the Copps Co. in Stevens Point. He was promoted to vice president of retail operations and then to vice president of marketing in the wholesale division before becoming executive vice president of merchandising and marketing.
He became president of Roberts Farm House Foods in Eau Claire in 1976 and served as president for four years before he created Freedom Foods grocery store chain in Eau Claire, owning and operating several grocery stores, as well as convenience stores, restaurants, fast food operations and a consulting business.
He and his wife traveled to different parts of the world, offering their experience to many companies through IESC (International Executive Service Corporation). They traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Peru, Jamaica and Cairo, Egypt, offering retail and wholesale insight to help establish independent grocery stores.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Diane (Bruce) Koon, Tampa, Fla., Susan (Brian) Marcott, Eau Claire, and Todd (Jan) Kunkel, Eau Claire; 10 grandchildren, including Cale (Lyndsay) Erickson, Stevens Point; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jayne Erickson, Stevens Point.
