A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 8611 State Highway 54. between Plover and Waupaca, town of Buena Vista, with the Rev. Jim Trempe officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.
Visitation will be at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a general rosary at 7 p.m., and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.

Mr. Barden was born Feb. 19, 1965, in Stevens Point, a son of Franklin and Anna (Ebersdorfer) Barden.
He worked for C.S. McCrossan Construction Inc. and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. He also farmed, raising beef cattle.
He participated in hunting, trap shooting, pool and darts. In his younger years he played baseball for local teams and was a member of the 4-H Club.
Survivors include his parents, Amherst; four sisters, JoAnn (John) Doyle, Amherst, Karen (Mick) Wennesberg, Tell City, Ind., Patty (Dave) Kamke, Green Bay, and Mary Jo Barden, Waupaca; and four brothers, Tom (Patty) and Gary (Sandy), both of Almond, Bob (Chris), Plover, and Mike (Val), Amherst.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim; his maternal grandparents; and his paternal grandparents.
