Private family funeral services will be held at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his name for Ministry Homecare Hospice.

Mr. Opiola was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Joseph and Martha Opiola. He attended Chicago Schools.
He was married to Veronica Gavinski on Nov. 23, 1939, in Chicago, Ill. She died in 1994.
They ran a candy store in Chicago until 1948 when they moved to Stevens Point. They bought the Skipp Inn bar on the Public Square in Stevens Point, which they ran until 1963.
In 1956 they bought Skipp’s Bowling Center on the south side which they ran until retirement in 1968.
He was a member of the Elks lodge, the Moose lodge, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include one son, William (Judi), Mosinee; one daughter, Diane (David) Pozarski, Stevens Point; nine grandchildren, Jodi (Wayne)Tuskowski, Jennifer Guzman, Ryan Pozarski, Michael Pozarski, Kelley Lee (Sean) Johnson, Becky Firkus, Tara (Mike) Cooper, Bobby Opiola and Kenny Opiola; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Donald; and three brothers.
