A service in celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 29, at the White Funeral Home in Burnsville, Minn.
A gift in her name to a favored charity would be appreciated.

The former Josette M. Eichstedt was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Random Lake. She graduated from Port Washington High School and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
She was married to John E. “Jack” Shannon Jr. in 1951.
They moved to Stevens Point and had lived in Stevens Point for more than 60 years until moving to Burnsville, Minn., recently.
She and Joanne (Riordan) Mehlberg owned and operated the Treasure Chest Gift Shops in Stevens Point for many years.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Jane M. Gardinier, John G. (Constance) Shannon, Robert J. (Ann) Shannon and William J. (Cindy) Shannon; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
