A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Plover-Shuda Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Road, Plover. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Friday until the service.
The family requests memorial donations to the United Way of Portage County.

Mrs. McHone was born Oct. 5, 1958, in Sheboygan, a daughter of Shirley Edwards and the late Ralph Edwards. She grew up in Lake Bluff, Ill., and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in journalism at Southern Illinois University, as well as a master’s degree in education from National Louis University.
She was married to David McHone 30 years ago.
She held various civil service senior management positions in advertising and safety with the Army Recruiting Command at Fort Sheridan, Ill. She was also the editor of Glass Magazine in Lake Forest, Ill.
She was an avid gardener with a degree in horticulture and obtained a Master Gardener Certification.
She was involved in many community activities and volunteered with nonprofit organizations in Illinois and Wisconsin, including Community Industries Corp., United Way of Portage County, First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville, the Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers Association and The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a deacon with Hope Church of Libertyville, Ill.
In 2008 they moved to Adams Lake.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Elizabeth Edwards McHone, Philadelphia, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Cyd McHone, Waterloo, Iowa, and Ali (Keith) Makeyenko, Mesa, Ariz.; one stepson, David (Lisa) McHone Jr., Yuma, Ariz.; her mother, Shirley Edwards; one sister, Vicky (Dirk) Rasmussen, Wauconda, Ill.; and one brother, Steven Edwards, Lake Bluff, Ill.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ian McHone, in 1988.
