A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Stevens Point. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, until the service, with a light lunch to follow.

Mrs. Ruff was born Jan. 22, 1905, in Norris, Ill., a daughter of the late Daniel and Pearl (Graves) Williams. She moved with her family from Illinois to Wisconsin as a young girl. She spent her childhood in the Bancroft area, attending a one-room school.
She later attended the Stevens Point Normal School (later Central State Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point) at the age of 13 and started teaching grades 1-8 at the age of 16. She graduated with a Rural Teacher’s Certificate class A on June 8, 1922, and taught school until she was married.
She was married to William Ruff. He preceded her in death.
In the 1940s, she returned to school to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree and then resumed teaching.
She was active in the First Baptist Church and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She was a Worthy Grand Matron of Arbutus Chapter 52 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a longtime resident of Stevens Point but spent her last years living in Montello.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucretia Ruff Nyberg; one son, Dr. William R.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Zei.
