A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ted Lewandowski officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Kowalski was born July 2, 1935, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Frank and Delphine (Pliska) Kowalski. He attended St. Peter Grade School where his basketball team won the eighth-grade championship. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He was married to Ione Kowalski on Feb. 13, 1955, at St. Peter Catholic Church. She died on Aug. 8, 2000.
He worked for the city of Stevens Point with the Street Department. He retired in 1999.
He coached youth baseball, and his baseball team, CLC, won the city championship. He was past president of the St. Peter’s Parent Teacher Association. He managed the family band, Free Spirit. He was an avid polka dancer and followed his brother’s polka band, the Golden Aces.
Survivors include three sons, Fred (Clara), North Aurora, Ill., and Edward (Laura) and Dan (Julie), both of Plover; two brothers, Jerry (Beverly) and Robert (Mary Ann); one sister, Laverne (Willie) Trzebiatowski; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur; and two grandsons.
