LaVon “Lonny” Harper-Feltes, 89, West Bend, died Monday, June 17, 2013.
A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, June 21, at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend. A private burial will be held at a later date in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, until the service. A celebration of her life will also be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in West Bend.

The former LaVon Sprout was born April 29, 1924, in Milwaukee.
She was married to Raymond Harper. He died in 1980.
Survivors include five children, Riley (Marlene) Harper, Paddy (Joe) Mercier, Michael (Lisa) Harper, Brian (Nancy) Feltes and Dean (Joan) Feltes; one sister, Diane (Kasey) Kajune; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was honored in 2008, as one of five Most Admired Senior Citizens in Washington County. She was active in fundraising for Senior Citizens, having organized and directed the annual Déjà vu Fashion show, “Western Days,” and served on the Advisory Board and Board of Directors at the West Bend Senior Center.
She was a founding member and past president of the Red Hat Chapter of West Bend. She was also a creator, co-founder and “Mother of Ceremonies” for the Silly Sisters performing group that brought entertainment to hospital and nursing home residents with more than 80 performances during the last four years.
She founded Bright Star and designed cane covers and other fashion accessories. She was a past member of the Mesa, Ariz., Chamber of Commerce, American Business Women’s Association, Sweet Adelines and Queen Mother of the Apache Junction Red Hats.
