Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Sahayanathan Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 9 of Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the services.
A memorial in his name will be designated at a later date.
Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Ticknor was born Aug. 11, 1940, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of the late Harold and Agnes (Shymanski) Ticknor.
He served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s.
He was married to Louise A. O’Shasky on June 13, 1964, in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was a member of Local Electrical Union 388 and worked for many area contractors.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was involved with the IMI of Central Wisconsin Golf Tournament and coached both softball and baseball.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Jeffrey (Barbara), Middleton; two daughters, Jacque (Theron) Ticknor-Johnson, Wisconsin Rapids, and Jennifer Amann, Plover; one sister, Mary Ticknor, Rhinelander; one brother, Michael (Janice) Ticknor, Wisconsin Rapids; and eight grandchildren.
