James M. “Jim” Blarek, 70, Plover, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial will be in St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass. There will be a parish Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Blarek was born May 13, 1942, in Wausau, a son of the late Michael and Eleanor (Rozumialski) Blarek. He attended local schools.
He was married to Connie Mager on July 7, 1979, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover.
After the marriage, the couple settled in Plover.
He worked at Joerns Furniture for many years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, August (Barbara) Stanislawski and Sylvester (Becky) Stanislawski, both of Fort Worth, Texas, and Raymond (Bobbi) Stanislawski, Milpitas, Calif.; three daughters, Catherine Betro, Plainfield, Carlotta (Joe) Janick, Birnamwood, and Charlene Jahn, Cumberland; two brothers, Kenneth Blarek, Stevens Point, and Patrick (Carla) Bube, Wausau; three sisters, Nancy (Ronald) Trzebiatowski, Rosholt, Debra Baker, Minnesota, and Gail (Craig) Hoffman, Wausau; 40 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and two grandsons.
