Colleen (Hansen) Berg, 83, Stevens Point, a former longtime Wausau resident, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at her home in Oakridge Senior Living Community in Stevens Point.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau, with the Rev. Wes Jedras officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, until the service.

Mrs. Berg was born Dec. 29, 1929, in La Crosse, a daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Larson) Hansen. She graduated in 1947 from La Crosse Aquinas Catholic High School.
She received a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
She taught second grade at Shawano Elementary School.
She was married to Norbert H. Berg on June 17, 1950, in La Crosse.
They lived in Shawano after they married and then moved to Atlanta, Ga. In 1962 they moved to Wausau and made it their home for 40 years until moving to Stevens Point to be closer to family.
She was an active member of the YMCA. She volunteered for 31 years as an instructor/trainer for the water exercise program as well as the Learn To Swim program. She was also on the YMCA Women’s Committee and Board of Directors.
She was also the assistant director at the Wausau Children’s Theater and an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her husband, Stevens Point; one daughter, Elizabeth (Wayne) Drifka, Stevens Point; two grandchildren, Heath (Dezarae) Hartwig, Glendale, and Jennifer (John) Fieldhouse, Redlands, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Berg.
