A Funeral Service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Monday, April 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tom Petersen officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, and at the church from 9 a.m. Monday, April 22, until the service.

Mr. Zimmerman was born June 28, 1930, in Watertown, a son of the late Howard and Margaret (Gerbitz) Zimmerman. He grew up in Chicago, attending the local schools. He moved to Wisconsin in 1946, graduating from Watertown High School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He was stationed in Japan during his time of service and was honorably discharged.
He was married to Marion Beine in 1953. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, he was employed by Wisconsin Life Insurance. After two years, he joined Sentry Insurance as a field claims adjuster in the Eau Claire area.
In 1965 they moved to Stevens Point. He retired in 1991 after being employed many years as a workers compensation specialist for Sentry Insurance.
He was a 58-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society S.P.E.B.Q.S.A. and sang lead in the Sentry Men Quartet.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stephen (Susan), Green Bay, and Gary (Diane), Marshfield; four daughters, Tara (Fred) Zobel, Hollister, Calif., Lisa (William) Jefferis, Cedarburg, Shari Zimmermann, Delano, Minn., and Laura (Jeffrey) Barth, Mainz, Germany; one sister, Joan Golisch; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
