A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. Burial will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hewitt at a later date.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time.
The family will designate a memorial in his name at a later date.

Mr. Lutz was born Nov. 21, 1936, in the town of Day in Marathon County, a son of the late Herbert and Pauline (Kohlbeck) Lutz. He attended Dodge School in the town of Day, St. John’s Parochial School in Marshfield and Marshfield Senior High School.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 until his honorable discharge in the Fleet Marine Force.
After his discharge he returned to Marshfield and worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and Weyerhaeuser Co. until moving to Chicago, Ill. He was employed at Automatic Electric as an inspector of telephone equipment until 1970.
He then moved back to Marshfield and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Praschak Machine. He later retired due to ill health.
He was married to Roberta Bastyr in 1967. She died in June 1972.
He was then married to Sharon Neises. They later divorced.
Survivors include three daughters, Dawn (Chris) Campbell, Plover, Heidi (Scott) Ubinger, Wisconsin Rapids, and Shanna (Brad) Halsell, Nekoosa; four sisters, Jeannette Apfel, Salva Jean “Bootsie” (James) Harris, Donna Jacobs and Carol (Dave) Elliott; and eight grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Elmer, Eugene, James, Merrill and Raymond Lutz; and four sisters, Arlene Anderson, Arvilla Ploog, Lucy Jones and Sylvia Leonard.
