Mr. Walker was born Jan. 27, 1966, in Green Bay, a son of Hugh and Sandra Walker. He grew up in Stevens Point and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1984.
While at Pacelli he was a state champion track athlete, and a basketball and football standout. He was accepted to the school of engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but went to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) due to health conditions, where he was on the football team. He graduated from UWSP with an urban planning degree in the Department of Natural Resources. His health conditions prevented him from using his degree to the fullest as he lost his eyesight.
He was a member of the Menominee Indian Nation. He holds the record for the largest brown trout ever caught in the Plover River.
Survivors include his parents, Deacon Hugh and Sandra Walker, Stevens Point; three children, Alec, Grayson and Brittany Walker; four siblings, Chris (Lynn) Walker, Sarah (Shawn) Hagedon, Greg Walker, and Anne (James) Hassett; and two grandchildren.
