A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with Pastor Jeff Silha officiating. Military Honors will follow the service.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Saturday until the service.
Mr. Smith was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Harold and June Smith. He graduated from Almond High School in 1966.
He enlisted in the Air Force Aug. 4, 1969, and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged July 17, 1973.
He was married to Rosemary Carlson on March 24, 2001, in Bancroft. She preceded him in death.
He worked as a mechanic in the Waupaca School District bus garage.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Waupaca.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda (Steve) Brajdic, Arlington, Texas, and Jennifer Smith, Stevens Point; one son, Brandon, Stevens Point; one brother, James (Carrie) Smith, Stevens Point; and four grandchildren.
