Kathryn M. “Katie” O’Malley, 81, Schofield, mother of a Bancroft woman, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Kennedy Park Medical Center in Schofield.
A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon, with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mrs. O’Malley was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Wausau, a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Feist) Marcell.
She was married to Ken O’Malley on Oct. 9, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wausau.
She was a homemaker, a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout leader. She also worked as a retail clerk at Pranges, Younkers and J.C. Penney in Madison.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mary (Gordon) Ruplinger, Wausau, Peggy (David) Root, Bancroft, and Colleen (Keith) Westphal, Appleton; three sons, Daniel (Mary), Poynette, John (Nelly), Wichita, Kan., and Michael (Christine), Waukesha; two sisters, Fanchon (Jim) Smith, West Bend, and Mary (George) Guenther, Schofield; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Freddie, Kenneth, Robert, Billy, LaVerne, Harvey and Chuckie Marcell; and one sister, Anna Mae Marcell.
