March can be brutal. Especially, when it arrives like a lion and goes out like a lion. But if the old saying rings true, March may come in like a lion, and go out like a lamb. What will it be this time around the sun?
The long-range forecast at press time calls for the first week of March to be sunny and in the 30s and the last week to end about the same way. In like a lamb and out like a lamb. We can only hope.
Long-range weather prognostication aside – at least for some of our wildlife neighbors – winter has suddenly become stressful. I witnessed a case in point last weekend while sitting at the kitchen table. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement.
“Honey, grab the camera,” I called out. “Take a look at what’s coming to the bird feeders.”
