Dorothy V. Brzezinski, 87, Wausau, a town of New Hope native and sister of two Portage County residents, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wausau, with the Rev. Hilary Brzezinski O.F.M. and the Rev. William Grevatch presiding. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Wausau.
Visitation will be held at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. rosary, and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Brzezinski was born Jan. 9, 1926, in the town of New Hope, a daughter of the late John and Alvina (Shulfer) Dombrowski.
She was married to Henry Brzezinski on May 10, 1947, in Polonia.
She worked at J.C. Penney. She was a member of St. Michael Parish Rosary Society and the PTA.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Deb (Ken) Dorshorst, Mosinee, Cindy (Paul) Prior, Oakdale, Minn.; five sons, Rev. Hilary Brzezinski O.F.M., Milwaukee, Norb and Gerald, both of Wausau, Jerry (Hollie), Green Bay, and Craig, Maplewood, Minn.; three sisters, Gen (Frank) Jelinski, Custer, Lucille Dallman, Oshkosh, and Irene (Leo) Shopinski, Stevens Point; one brother, Charles (Bea) Dombrowski, Wisconsin Rapids; and six grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Ernest Dombrowski, Dennis Dombrowski, Frances Adamczak and Sally Sopa.
