Mildred M. “Millie” Guzman, 89, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Her body will be cremated and burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service. An American Legion Auxiliary ritual will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Memorials may be made to favorite charitable organizations, Ministry Home Care Hospice Service or the Salvation Army.

Mrs. Guzman was born March 9, 1923, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Carl and Lillian (Borchardt) Phillips. She attended local grade school and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1941. After graduation, she worked at Hardware Mutual.
She was married to Emil Guzman on Sept. 28, 1946. He died Aug. 4, 2010.
The couple settled in Stevens Point. She was a stay-at-home mom. In later years, she worked as head cook at the American Legion, and also worked at the Stevens Point Journal for a time.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Greg) Mykisen, Bancroft, and Judy (Joe, significant other) Guzman, Stevens Point; one sister, Dorie Beicher, Madison; three brothers, Joseph (Shirley) Phillips and James Phillips, both of Stevens Point, and Frederick (Mary) Phillips, Waukegan, Ill.; and one grandson.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Guzman; and two brothers, Paul and infant brother Carl Jr.
