Theresa A. Esker, 91, formerly of Hatley, mother of a Custer woman, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Cedar Creek Manor in Wausau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley, with the Rev. Roy Witucki officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, until the Mass. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Esker was born Feb. 14, 1922, in the town of Bevent in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Sikorski) Kurszewski.
She was married to Paul Esker Jr. on Nov. 9, 1940, in Bevent. He died on May 7, 1998.
The couple farmed in the town of Reid in Marathon County until retiring in 1975.
She was a member of a ladies social club for many years and a member of St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley and its Rosary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Larry) Damask, Hatley, and Linda (George) Haka, Custer; two sisters, Henrietta (Bill) Barnett, Weston, and Dolores (Roman) Zblewski, Hatley; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley and Paulette; four sisters, Stella Damask, Mattie Zanowski, Regina Waraksa and Emily Letarski; and four brothers, Joe, Raymond, Hubert and William Kurszewski.
