Philip J. “Frenchy” Chevalier Sr., 74, a Stevens Point native and father of four Stevens Point residents, died Feb. 17, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
Burial will take place in the spring at the Veterans Cemetery at King.

Mr. Chevalier was born Dec. 16, 1938, a son of the late Philious and Mary (Peplinski) Chevalier.
He grew up and attended schools in Stevens Point.
Upon graduation he enlisted and served in the Navy Medical Corps.
He was married to Terry Futoi in Naha, Japan. They later divorced.
He was married to Marcelle Grimm in Arlington, Va. She died Sept. 21, 2008.
He worked in the computer field.
Survivors include seven children, Sally (Michael Woitczak) Chevalier, Rumiko Richmond, Tina (David) Chevalier-Laube, and Tamara (Bruce Kurkowski) Chevalier, all of Stevens Point; Marie (Robert Holiday) Chevalier, Wauwatosa, Philip (Sherri) J. Chevalier Jr., Sacramento, Calif., and Erica (Ronald) Slisz, Buffalo, N.Y.; ex-wife, Terry, Plover; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
