Viola E. Phillips, 84, Whiting, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at her home, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mrs. Phillips was born April 27, 1928, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Carl and Monica (Kieliszewski) Gollon.
She was married to James “Jim” Phillips on Feb. 6, 1959, in Waukegan, Ill.
They lived in Amherst for 27 years and then resided in the Stevens Point area.
She was a nursing assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, retiring in 1978.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Joan (Gary) Clark, Kincheloe, Mich., Carol (Bill) Buckley, Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Diane Phillips, Chippewa Falls; one son, Michael (Sue), Stevens Point; two sisters, Jeanette (Irvin) Malarcik, Glendive, Mont., and Loretta (Victor) Nowak, Stevens Point; four brothers, Fred Gollon, Phillip (Jane) Gollon and Billy (Arlene) Gollon, all of Stevens Point, and Bud (Althea) Gollon, Dodgeville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Gollon.
