Lawrence Gitter, 83, Wisconsin Rapids, father of two Stevens Point residents, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Paul Gitter officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Gitter was born March 22, 1929, a son of the late Edwin and Burnett (Rusch) Gitter.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 in the 409th Engineer Brigade.
He worked for AT&T and Wisconsin Telephone as a central office repairman.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; four sons, the Rev. Paul, St. Paul, Minn., Gregory, Donna, Texas, George, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Edwin, Stevens Point; two daughters, Donna (Daniel) Cleveland, Wausau, and Ann (Tom) Lemancik, Stevens Point; four brothers, Tom (Louise), Madison, Richard (Betty), town of Shelby, Mich., Peter, Hortonville, and Francis, Uma, Ariz.; one sister, Rita Guzzeta, New Port Richey, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Phillip, James and David.
