Evelyn Marilyn Budzynski, 92, a resident at Oakridge Senior Living Community in Stevens Point and a longtime teacher, formerly of Hatley, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, while under the care of AseraCare Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley, with the Rev. Roy R. Witucki officiating. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.
Visitation will be at Shuda Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the services.
Contributions in her name should be given to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) Budzynski Teaching Scholarship Fund, the Rosholt Library Fund or the Hatley Parks Improvement Program.

Mrs. Budzynski was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Rosholt, a daughter of the late Leo and Johanna (Wrycza) Basinski. She graduated from Central State Teachers College (now UWSP) with a degree in elementary education.
She was married to Ambrose Budzynski on Oct. 27, 1945. He died on April 15, 2001.
She was a teacher for 45 years, including 35 years with the D.C. Everest School District.
She and her husband were active in the Hatley community and received the Lions Persons of the Year Award. She was also involved in St. Florian Catholic Church, participating in the Rosary Society and annual fundraisers.
Survivors include three daughters, Dianne (Nick) Somers, Stevens Point, Cheryl Budzynski, Wausau, and Jane (James) Jerzak, Green Bay; one sister, Esther Kluck, Polonia; two brothers, Lawrence (Verona) Basinski, Stevens Point, and Jerry (Helen) Basinski, Rosholt; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Basinski and Chet (Bernell) Basinski.
