Arthur J. Utnehmer, 77, Plover, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Divine Word Lutheran Church in Plover.

Mr. Utnehmer was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Antigo, a son of the late Oscar and Virginia (Schmid) Utnehmer. He graduated from Antigo High School and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee.
He entered the U.S. Navy on June 28, 1954, in Annapolis, Md. He received the National Defense Service Ribbon and Expert Rifle Medal. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 10, 1955. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines on Nov. 6, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minn., serving until Nov. 5, 1959.
He was married to Susan Maciejczak on July 17, 1965, at St. Jacobi Church in Milwaukee.
He worked as senior salesman for Consolidated Papers, retiring in 2000. He also had a side business, called Senior Moments, building bird houses.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Julie (Bruce) Wichmann, DeForest; three sons, Charles (Miki), Brookfield, Art Jr. (Theresa), Oceanside, Calif., and Mark, Las Vegas Nev.; one brother, John, Sturgeon Bay; two sisters, Faith (Tom) Wiex, Portage, and Barbara (Adrian) Leiterman, Antigo; and eight grandchildren.
