Franklin “Herman” Zimmerman, 80, Wausau, father of a Stevens Point woman, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Applegate Terrace in Wausau, while under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Wausau, with the Rev. Bruce Lamont officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wausau.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Zimmerman was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Waukesha, a son of the late Albert and Edna (Grosenick) Zimmerman.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was married to Madora Birr. She died in 2000.
He worked for Drott Manufacturing for 35 years prior to retiring.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla (Peter) Spychalla, Wausau, and Karen Zimmerman, Stevens Point; one brother, Kenneth, Sonara, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Catherine.
