Robert C. McDonald, 74, formerly of Stevens Point, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the chapel from noon Wednesday until the services.

Mr. McDonald was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Medford, a son of the late Robert F. and Audrey (Brunkhorst) McDonald. As a child he moved with his family to Stevens Point, where he was a 1956 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater before serving in the U.S. Army, entering into service in Milwaukee on Dec. 6, 1961. He served overseas as a SP5 and earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Marksman Badge. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 23, 1964, at Fort Hamilton in New York.
He returned to the area and worked as a construction plumber in the Stevens Point-Wausau area until his retirement due to health issues in 1978.
He was married to Kathleen Wroblewski in 1972 in Stevens Point. They later divorced.
He was a member of the Walkers Club at the Mall and the Drifters Ski Club before entering the Veterans Home.
Survivors include four daughters, Bobbie Marcoff and Billie (Daniel) Kern, both of Mosinee, Becky (Bradley) Manowski, Appleton, and Kathy (William) Kubisiak, Stevens Point; and 11 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Kay.
