Verjeanne L. Gillette, 76, Vesper, mother of a Custer woman, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper, with the Rev. Douglas Schalow officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the services.
A memorial in her memory will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Gillette was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Pinney) Zabel. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids and attended beauty school in Wausau.
She was married to Thomas Gillette in 1957.
They lived in Tomahawk before moving to Vesper.
She was a beautician for 45 years and owner/operator of the Vesper Beauty Shop.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper and St. John Lutheran Church in Sigel.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Kirk (Mary), Vesper; one daughter, Lisa (Mark) Cychosz, Custer; and six grandchildren.
