With several new faces stepping into larger roles this season, the Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) gymnastics team will look to continue its string of success from the last several seasons.
The Panthers lost four seniors from last year’s lineup that made its sixth consecutive appearance at the WIAA Division 1 State Meet and won the Great Northern Conference (GNC) Large Division Title.
So far, SPASH has picked up where it left off, as it has won two meets and its only conference triangular, and will now head into the bulk of its conference schedule.
“The season’s going better than what I was expecting in the beginning,” said SPASH gymnastics head coach Jenny Bellmer. “And they’ve been winning too, so it’s been a fun plus.”
