Ralph R. Mansavage, 70, Florida, formerly of Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Woodside Hospice Center in St. Petersburg, Fla., following a battle with cancer.
A funeral will be held in March.
Mr. Mansavage was born March 3, 1942, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Ralph Mansavage Sr. and Isabelle Zywicki. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1960.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he earned the status of lance corporal.
He worked for 25 years as a supervisor for the Stevens Point Brewery, and he also worked in construction and at the paper mill.
He was an avid member of the Moose Lodge, Elks and the Marine Corps League.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Barbara; one son, Ralph “Bud”; two stepdaughters, Kim (John) Jones, Stevens Point, and Heidi (Kurt) TeWinkel, Hudson; three brothers, Ray (Marlene), Stevens Point, and Norm and Ed, both of Plover; six sisters, Terri (Earl) Seybold, Milwaukee, Barbara (Ken) Hottenstein, Menomonee Falls, Mary (Jerry) Spielvogel, Dacada, Sandy (Dale) Lepinski, Stevens Point, Linda Wiegele, Fremont, and Tina Engebretson, Adams Friendship; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andy and Ron Engebretson.
