Eleanor Lasinski, 92, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.
A private prayer service was held Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Desert Sunset Funeral Home in Tucson, Ariz.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover in April. Ashes will be placed in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Memorial donations may be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice Foundation, 7740 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85704. Arrangements were entrusted to Desert Sunset Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lasinski was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Stevens Point.
She was married to Benedict Lasinski in June 1940. He preceded her in death.
After a brief period in Milwaukee, they moved back to Stevens Point where she worked at Point Bakery until she and her husband became owners and operators of several local taverns, spanning a period of almost 30 years.
She has lived in Wausau, and most recently in Tucson, Ariz., for the past eight years.
Survivors include one son, Robert; one daughter, Diann (Gary) Swalve; two brothers, Bernard and Phillip (Patricia Glodowski); one sister, Lorretta Fisher; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ed Sims; and two sisters, Grace Shemanski and Mamie Zelinski.
