A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Monday until the Mass.

Mr. Knitter was born Sept. 20, 1919, in the town of Alban, a son of the late Frank and Frances (Kaminski) Knitter.
He was married to Ann Bushman on Oct. 10, 1942. She died on Dec. 5, 2011.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a Bronze Star recipient.
Mr. Knitter owned and operated a garage in Galloway. He then started farming in the town of Franzen and retired after more than 40 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway and the St. Joseph’s Society. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Elderon Memorial Post 8068 and Nelson-Kaminski American Legion Post 509 in Rosholt.
Survivors include three sons, Ron (Jan) and Patrick, both of Galloway, and Bruce, Stevens Point; four daughters, Karen Collins, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Barbara Knitter, Rothschild, Debra (Dennis) Pucket, Merrill, and Pamela (Peter) Flees, Lake Mathews, Calif.; one sister, Evelyn Schulist; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, John and Frank Jr.; and six sisters, Leona, Mary, Martha, Alice, Delores and Regina.
