Robert James “Bob” Dorshorst, 48, Almond, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, of a heart attack while farming.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City.

Mr. Dorshorst was born Feb. 5, 1964, in Sherry, a son of Betty (Ashbeck) Dorshorst and the late Marnis “Sonny” Dorshorst.
He was married to Veronica J. “Vicki” Niewiadomski on May 30, 1996.
He moved to Unity in the early 1980s and was employed with Lynn Farms for 11 years. He moved to Almond in April 1994 when he became employed at Worzalla Publishing Co. in Stevens Point for more than five years.
He and his family started dairy farming in April 1996. Starting out with 14 heifer calves, they built up their herd and discontinued their jobs to pursue farming full time.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Jesse Dorshorst, Rockford, Ill., and Jamie Dorshorst, Stevens Point; his mother, Wisconsin Rapids; three brothers, Thomas (Karen), Auburndale, and Russell (Patti) and Daniel (Cindy), both of Arpin; one sister, Cindy (Larry) Lang, Blenker; and five grandchildren.
