Alice Volk, 92, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Nu-Roc Community HealthCare in Laona.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. Interment will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, until the service.

Mrs. Volk was born March 30, 1920, in Ringle, a daughter of the late Yates and Emma Sickler. She attended high school and normal school in Wausau.
Her first teaching position was in the Wabeno School District, teaching at the rural Rummel School.
She was married to John Volk on Aug. 31, 1940. He preceded her in death.
The lived in the Los Angeles area of California between 1941 and 1943, but returned to Wisconsin to resume dairy farming. She continued to teach for several years before becoming a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, John (Nancy), Racine, and Jim (Julie) and Jan (Nancy), both of Wabeno; two daughters, Faye (Jim Tuszka), Stevens Point, and Donna (Don Tucker), Sun Prairie; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Gene.
